The half-round metal gutter system by Akvilon is a specialized engineering solution designed for the efficient drainage of rainwater and melted snow from your roof. By directing water flow away from the structure, it protects the building facade from moisture damage and prevents the gradual erosion of the foundation and blind area.

The traditional half-round shape ensures efficient and stable water flow, reducing turbulence and preventing water stagnation. This geometry also increases structural rigidity, helping the system maintain its shape and alignment under heavy operational loads such as snow or ice. All elements are manufactured in-house at our factory, ensuring precise fitment and seamless assembly during installation.

Materials and Durability

We manufacture our gutter systems from high-grade steel, a material that retains its structural integrity in extreme frost and remains resistant to thermal expansion during peak summer heat. You can choose from two execution options based on your project requirements:

• Galvanized Steel (ZN):
  Metal thickness of 0.45–0.50 mm. A practical, cost-effective option providing reliable basic rust protection. It is ideal for industrial, warehouse, and utility structures where functionality and budget efficiency are primary.
• Polymer-Coated Steel (PE/PUR):
  Galvanized steel coated with a specialized polyester layer on both sides (front and back surfaces). This coating isolates the metal from constant moisture exposure, increases surface scratch resistance, and remains colorfast under intense UV rays. This is the preferred solution for residential homes, allowing for a perfect color match with the roof or facade.

System Sizes and Specifications

A correctly sized system ensures stable water drainage during peak rainfall and eliminates the risk of overflow. Application depends on roof area, rainfall intensity, and hydraulic calculation according to the EN 12056-3 standard. The table below shows commonly used configurations.

Standard Element Parameters:

• Gutters: Standard length of 3.0 m.
• Downpipes: Available in 1.25 m and 3.0 m lengths.
• Angles: Internal and external; standard angles of 90° and 135°.
• Bends (Elbows): Rolled or pressed; primary standard angles of 72° and 45°.
• Brackets: Short (fascia board mounting) and long (rafter mounting).
